We wish to encourage you to take part in this global action to eliminate the debt of poor nations. The debt paid by poor nations to rich nations prevents them from providing basic health, food, water and shelter, and as a result many die from starvation and preventable illnesses. The richest nations in the world (G7) will meet Friday, 21st July 2000 in Okinawa, and the cancellation of the debt will be on the agenda. Despite their past promises, the debt is still choking the third and fourth world. They need to act.
The Jubilee 2000 campaign is urging everyone to take 20 seconds to visit the following site:

and send an auto-email to these leaders who have the power to cancel this crippling debt. The 21st of July is the last day to do this, so please do it now!
If you wish to take a further action, the email addresses and fax numbers of the G7 are provided below. You can write to one or all of them explaining that unless they cancel the debt to poor nations, millions will continue to be denied the most basic right of all: The Right to Life.
