Sri Lanka : A website office attacked

An unidentified group of men broke into the office of Lankaenews.com website and set fire to it in the early hours of Monday (31).  The website, which is known for its critical views on the SL government, has been a target of repeated intimidation by the authorities. Journalist and political cartoonist Prageeth Ekneligoda, who went missing one year ago, was also attached to the same website.

The Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka appeals to all concerned groups and individuals to take necessary action to condemn the attack and to demand an immediate investigation.
