PAKISTAN: Displaced Christians question UNHCR Hong Kong office

A Pakistani Christian from HK

To,

The International Christian community, churches and Organizations,

Subject: – The Future of Pakistani Christians.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I, a Pakistani Christian living in Hong Kong as an asylum seeker writing behalf of other 30 plus Pakistani Christians asylum seeker in Hong Kong among 7000 other asylum seekers and refugees from other religions and countries.

Dear reader, I just want to have your kind attention towards Pakistani Christians who are suffering all kinds of discrimination in Pakistan. We are struggling for equal rights for generations, religious freedom, equal seats in parliament, job opportunities, admissions in medical colleges, participation in sports activities. Our properties and church properties have been forcefully declared there’s by showing false documents with the help of high government officials. Whenever we raise our voice we are silenced by death threats, false accusation and death penalty as blasphemous which is their best weapon to keep us silent. Our priest have been gun down, our young generation have great fear in their own land, our children are kidnapped for child sex, our women are afraid of going out for earning with the fear that they might get gang rape, kidnap or forcefully convert to Islam for the purpose of quenching the lust of ruthless Muslims.

Thousands of young Christians are running away from their homes because of fear of their Muslim neighbors and friends being falsely accused of blasphemy charges and receiving threat letters with the title ”convert to Islam or die” by Islamist elements. The mass migration of poor oppressed Christian is never brought on record by government of Pakistan nor any human right organization have urged for their settlement where they may live peaceful life. We are not allowed to eat with Muslims and in any of their restaurants. We are treated as untouchable nation. The title for Christians as ”untouchable Nation” compels us to think that where are human rights? Who never intervenes in our fearful situations but receiving millions of dollars aid to the organization? ”Look busy do nothing.”

Dear brothers and sisters, we, some 35 Pakistani Christians were somehow able to escape from our country due to a huge fear of being slaughter from the hands of merciless Muslims. Some are here for couple of years, some are for more than five years. We are thankful to Hong Kong immigration and it’s loving and kind people from the bottom of our heart for letting us stay and protecting us.

Our brothers and sisters, we still have huge fear of deportation. The UNO has rejected most of us and rest of us who have not made their appearance to UNO yet have great fear that they will be surely rejected as well. Once we are rejected by the UNO then, the immigration will hold us in detention center until we are deported. We request to the Hong Kong immigration that life sentence is better than to be killed from the hands of merciless Muslims.

Most of the cases are accepted of Muslims. The UNO is not listening to any Christians and rejecting us all. One name Lal Masih was living in HK for seven years but finally was deported by the immigration because, UNO did not support him at all. His wife became a victim of BLOOD CANCER here in hk and wanted to die among his own people. So LAL MASIH had no choice but, to even put his own life in danger as well just for the sack of his wife’s wish to die among his own people decided to go back. The immigration has hold another Pakistani Christian name SARFRAZ MASIH who flew from Pakistan because of life threat being in love with a Muslim girl. Sir, he is in the custody of immigration and they will surely deport him forcefully. Brothers and sisters help us! We want no Pakistani Christian to be deported and suffer from the hands of ruthless Muslims. Please take the voice of 35 Pakistani Christians to the world. Your support will be a big help to us as it is always. Please do write an appeal to Hong Kong immigration and UN not to deport us. We also appeal to the holy Pope to talk to the UNO and immigration of Hong Kong. We appeal to the local churches of Hong Kong and organizations to help us take our voice to UNO and immigration. We appeal to the church counsel of Pakistan to writer an appeal to immigration and UNO for not to deport us but to protect us.
