Lesson series 15 – PART II: Human Rights Strategies to Address Trafficking in Persons

The Issue

Lesson 15 – Part I showed that trafficking is a complex problem and results in many human rights violations of the victims of trafficking–women, men and children. Numerous case studies were presented to illustrate the nature of “trafficking in women”, the complexity of the problem, and the many ramifications of the effects of trafficking on those who have undergone some or all of these violations of their persons and integrity.

Part II will discuss issues relating to strategies to prevent trafficking, to prosecute traffickers and to protect the rights of persons who have been victimized through trafficking.
