RSS

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.

Or create a custom feed for your needs

Humanrights.asia allows you to tailor your own feed e.g. based on issues, countries or campaigns. For example, you may want to stay updated about all releases and news on the campaign for FMA Razzak, or you want to receive all cases of torture in Sri Lanka, or you would like to receive all releases regarding the issue of violence against women in Asia. Make your own feed in 3 steps
  1. Go to our search page and click "Advanced Search" under the Search Text input field. A form with detailed search options appears.
  2. Choose countries, issues, campaigns and document types suiting your interests. Hold down the CTRL key to select more than one option in any selection box. Click the search button! (Please note that multiple selections in a box are treated as a logical OR condition while the overall combination of e.g. country and issue are treated as logical AND conditions.)
  3. On top of the search result list that follows you can see the link:
Subscribe to an always-updated feed of these search terms
To copy this link you can right click on it and choose "Copy link address". This link can then be added to your Google Reader account, or other feed reader software.

Why RSS?

RSS allows you to stay informed with up-to-date information from your favourite or frequently-visited websites.  With RSS feed readers, the latest contents will be retrieved automatically without the need to visit individual websites.  Furthermore, there's no need to disclose your email address for newsletters subscriptions.

How to read the feeds?

Content synchronization is done through RSS Feed Readers or News Aggregator software.

A variety of RSS Readers are available for different platforms. Examples of feed readers include Amphetadesk (Windows, Linux, Mac), FeedReader (Windows), and NewsGator (Windows - integrates with Outlook). Some popular web-based feed readers include: My Yahoo, Bloglines, and Google Reader; while smartphone-based RSS apps include: iFeeder, iNews, Free RSS Reader, gReader, FeedR, and NewsRob.
