PHILIPPINES: Comparative legal critique of Abadilla Five & Vizconde cases to judicial decisions in common law countries

Paper : In 2010, the Supreme Court (SC) of the Philippines concluded two controversial cases, People v. Lumanog and Lejano v. People after over a decade of court proceedings. These decisions raised questions on how Constitutional rights are protected with regard to arbitrary detention, self incrimination, right to counsel and exclusion of evidence, under the 1987 Constitution and Statutory laws.
